Women in Sports and Events (WISE) Boston

Launched in mid-April of this year, WISE Boston is proud to direct all to their brand new website!

WISE Boston was born in April 2010 when approximately 70 women from the Boston and greater New England areas met at Morton’s Steak House in Boston’s Seaport Disctrict to launch a new WISE chapter. As Tracy DeForge, Founder and orignal WISE Boston President stated, “Boston is a legendary sports town, but I found it difficult to find and connect with the women in the industry. As a long-time member of the NY Chapter of WISE, I knew the value WISE could bring and I wanted that for Boston.”

WISE Boston has provided an array of educational and networking events. Our panel events have featured leaders in their fields and have provided expert insight into topics such as Behind the Scenes of Branding and Sponsoring Athletes, Understanding the NFL and NBA Labor Disputes and their Economic Impact, and Keys to Success from Leading Women in Sports.

Speakers and panelists have included Dusty Rhodes of Conventures; Naoko Funayama of NESN; Robyn Glaser of the Kraft Sports Group/New England Patriots; Michael McCann of Sports Illustrated, NBA TV Legal Analyst, and Law professor; Julie Coyne of Nike; Rachel Condelli of Gatorade;  Pam Kenn of the Boston Red Sox; and more.
